Updated: Jun 24

Written by: Sarah J. Maas

Goodreads Avg. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.19

My Star Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spice Rating: 🌶 🌶

There were only a few steamy scenes throughout the book. Nothing super explicit by any means.

Genre: Fantasy Romance

My Review:

The first time I read this book I don't think I appreciated it enough. I did rate it 4 stars but I think that's just because I had FOMO and couldn't admit that I didn't like it as much as everyone else. 2 years later, I read it again and can I just say, you guys were absolutely right! This feels like the perfect fantasy romance for this romance lover. The world building is not too complicated and confusing for someone who doesn't usually read fantasy but enough for me to feel transported to another world.

The way Sarah J. Maas had me attached to each character (even Nesta) just shows how great of a writer she is. I loved following Feyre as the main character and the whole world in her perspective just felt so magical. The beginning was a bit slow for me but everything that happens at the end really makes up for it. I can't wait to see what comes next in this series.
